Rolen: I don't think we ever went to the moon, but how would a camera maker know?
If it helps them sell more cameras, be it.

GreatOceanSoftware: Does this signal the death of Foveon?

"Sigma has also teased a forthcoming Foveon model, but has not released any further details as yet"

Read the article next time.

DiffractionLtd: Best solution? Get a radio-controlled gasoline powered miniature aircraft and use it. It's not a drone, and it's been around for 50 years or more and NO ONE decided to wage WAR against them.

It is funny how radio controlled helicopters and planes seem to be fine.

Niko Vita: A single card slot? No, thanks.

All the a6000s have a single card slot... You wouldn't buy it if i had two anyway.

Frank_BR: The irony is that nothing with a Leica name is a steal.

Until you realize Leica cameras hold their value much better that anything from Sony/Canon/Nikon. It's cheaper to use a Leica for a year, sell and upgrade then to do the same with another brand.

stevenbrantley: Sony is to French's cheap yellow mustard, as Leica is to Grey Poupon dijon. No comparison.

I feel like Sony is a cheap yellow mustard bottle filled with grey poupon and Leica is a grey poupon bottle filled with cheap yellow mustard in terms of the images produced.

stevenbrantley: I would rather have a rectal colonoscopy than try to live with Sony's frustrating camera menus.

They have been improved greatly from the a7 and a7ii models but once you get all you shortcuts setup and custom buttons set you don't really need to use the menus much.

cjgent: Sony needs to work with Foveon to help them make a 20MP (which would come out to 60MP equaivilant) full frame sensor and forget about bayer designs.

My guess is those bottom two layers are using the physical resolution of the top layer even though they are in fact a lower res.

I'm not entirely sure. If I take an image, set to monochrome and export three images from each color I'm still getting the same resolution, dpi, etc. The file sizes of the green and red are actually larger.
