I realize that this is a matter of personal taste, but as I see it, 16mm is too wide, and 23mm is too tight. 18mm is just about right ;)

The combo covers pretty much everything, travel or otherwise. I can see myself getting the Sigma 17/4 at some point for occasional use, but so far so good.
