Conclusion: Working for dpreview doesn't make enough money to buy a mf camera if you would wish to do so... ;)

Reviewers are not working photographers.

Btw; the pentax mf image in the comparison has motion blur.

Guys c'mon. A little effort in trying to put together some decently composed images that tell the story and significance of why and to whom medium format is relevant or why it is artistically a very high quality tool.

Not trying to be insulting here. But a little bit more effort could have been done here. Why not ask a qualified (medium format) photographer to do some shots for you? Would give a much better image for this camera and website overall. Wich is still the most popular in the world i would imagine.

With solid technical understanding of this beast this is easely one of the best focusing camera's every created. Sony has the tendency to "over-advance" (read "complicate" for some) their options in sync with their highly advanced technology. That's the problem for some. From my experience it's snappier and much image-quality-happier then a D5.

Amazing tool overall.

It reminds me how far sony has actually progressed with their sensor technology. And it's good to see canon Full frame finally reaches the level of my sony 6300 in terms of high iso noise performance.

Dynamic range not there yet though.

I would like to compliment dpreview for the very solid set of photographs with this review.

I sense more effort has been put into creating better images then previous (p)review image samples.

CeleryBeats: The Fuji JPEG's at 51200 ISO look amazing compared to the Nikon D750. That's a mighty impressive accomplisment.

And the funny thing is that at those iso's i wouldnt bother to shoot raw anyway considering that those high iso's i mainly wwould use at dark drunken parties or something?

Way to go Fuji!!!

At ISO 3200 the fuji also gives more pleasing results actually

I'm SOOO IN LOVE with this camera. My X100S and XT1 gave me alot of great photographs but im really excited to enter 24mp with probably still the best noise control on the market.

High iso 12800 samples are out of this world , even compared with my (sold by now) sony A7II.

And damn, as all fuji's, it's SO BEAUTIFUL AND SEXY LOOKING :D

wow...

GoneMirrorless: Sales down.
Last time they said sales were up but quoted 'value' instead of units sold to hide the lower sales. (they were selling more A7 cameras and fewer APSC and P&S) Looks like they are still doing this.
They made a smart move to mirrorless FF where there is virtually no competition, and are selling cameras and lenses at high prices for good profits.
But at the same time they've been dumping APSC and P&S at low prices and somehow sales are still down.
"continued shift toward higher value models " - So rumors about Sony moving away form APSC seem to be true. It might another year before it is completely abandoned, but that has been the direction for two years now, and every press release and statement from management backs it.
The goal is to be more profitable and moving to FF and dropping APSC (they'll keep RX) is what is working.

Of course it is.
