Old Cameras: We’re an optics company, you know, craftsmen. We make things with our hands, that’s what it’s all about. The love of the craft...
We’re not a bunch of dirty, money grubbing marketing sales people, ick! Like the floor of a movie theater! Disgusting!

By the way, that’ll be $1000...

The whole marketing operation borders on fraud

Peter J Davies: I was a long-time Flickr enthusiast until they were bought out by Smug Mug and I haven't even been able to log in since they severed all ties to Yahoo. I still receive email comments about photos but Flickr is now about as relevant to me as my old film cameras. Shame :(

Slouch Hooligan: What I want to know is—
Who now owns PhotoForge and KitCam?
PhotoForge was a brilliant photo editing app that Yahoo seems to have bought just to deny us its availability.

Flickr belongs to SmugMug, just ask somebody of the support if these apps belong still to Yahoo or if they were sold also to SmugMug.

SmugMug works great, I use it as my online client archive. The Lightroom plugin is fantastic.

On article Is the Canon EOS RP right for you? (708 comments in total)

Canon mirrorless is not for me, will hold my old 6D with some lenses and buy into the Fuji X system. A lot more bang, specs and video for the buck.

PaulSnowcat: Well, almost all manufacturers produced a fance-new-FF cameras that are TOO EXCENSIVE. So lots of people are waiting when more budget cameras will be out. I hope manufacturers understand that it they want to sell more, they should release cheaper cameras.

The Fujifilm X-T30 seems to be a good move, packed with features and the price is ok.

On article Canon EOS RP review (1690 comments in total)

"Canon EOS RP, a stupid way to go full frame" - A low cost full frame body makes only sense with a couple of native lenses that are not premium priced.
At this point a Fujifilm XT-30 would be a better choice. Not full frame, but excellent specifications and lenses with all price tags available.

On article Canon EOS RP vs EOS 6D Mark II: Which is right for you? (567 comments in total)

Still with the first 6D because neither the EOS RP or the EOS 6D Mark II is right for me. I think I will switch to Panasonic. The G9 looks quite right...

We should praise Canon for the recycling of the 6D sensor.
"Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and turning them into new products."
