Hoya HD UV. ( I was buying UV filter as protector before, now I just get Hoya HD Protector.)

But the funny thing is I always use a filter, so that Canon explanation doesn't really hold up.

So possibly the dust entered from the rear while exposed during lens change? And worked its way to the front? Seems like it's resting on the second element behind the front glass.

This particular lens is a 70-200mm/f2.8 with internal zoom. Since the lens is fully sealed, I wonder how did a speck of dust go in there? I have never noticed it until today, so not sure how long ...

Sony 24-105. It’s actually cheaper than the Sigma 24-70, and I wanted the extra reach, and I already have 77mm filters which is a convenience, the Sigma takes 82mm filters.
