Lumix-dmc-G6 has external mic in the same class.
Sensor Size -
Canon - 1/2.3" (6.17 x 4.55 mm)
Lumix - Four Thirds (17.3 x 13 mm)
Explain This Difference before I explode...
Why are specs mixed format? To keep us confused?

I try to give best advice to new students - now I'm handicapped with non standard specs between models.

I LOve My hard body Kata very much -
If I was doing review -
it would be real time video of it being accessed -
near water hazards -
sharp very hard rocks 3 feet below -
to show no worries with this type of bottom feeder.

To implement options to carry Tripod -
is not that difficult for this caliber of person.

My ThinkTank Roller - http://tinyurl.com/bow44cc -
onboard aircraft - it's all of 34lbs.

backayonder: I own three Kata Bags, you can't beat them.

I love my hard body case -
Kata OC-82 GDC. Heavily Loaded.
If it fell at 50 knots - No Worries.

I've tried & usually don't care for unbalanced loaded bottom feeders that require two hands to control to secure.

If the bottom portion was hard body - balanced self closing - I'd be all over it.

I think in the end - the only way to get a true review of any camera -
is set up 5 of them on the same beam - same subject - same lighting.
Each one taking 10 shots - I'd suspect some difference.

Auto Settings:
Sort Focusing First -
Exposure - Second -

Now manual settings:
If focusing becomes an issue - why go further.
As long as it's sharp - computer can alter color.
I'm Quite impressed with this series - Having the ZS3.
What I find critical for GPS - and no one so far really thinks out of the box why.

You are on the freeway - 75mph - you grab quick shot of something - for some reason You Did - right.
Now a Month goes by - You See the Image and go - where the Hell was this?
What about on the Boat? I dare Ya to recall the spot with no landmarks.
Cheers to those who are true Gadgets Freaks.

Before I forget -
The 2 Sec Delay Shutter - If you don't take advantage of this - You missed the next level of sharpness w/o Flash.
I sorta wish it could be set to default when in low light.
