Hi, I am just wondering about peoples rationale behind this topic. Did you sell your 100-400 for 70-200 GMII + teleconverters and why?
-
Wow super nice images. Are those edited or you shoot it like that?
-
I actually was wondering about that DOF. I also had this perception with 1.4x tele. Good to know that this was not my skill failure :-D Thank you very much for the information.
-
I hear you. I also tent to just have both. They are so awesome and looks like 70-200mm is one of my favorite zooms. Do you think the 2x tele on the F4 degrades quality too much?
-
I think you are correct. The lens is to short for birds. They always fly away :-D With the thread I wanted to see if others tested that lens with either 2x or 1.4x tele converter and can show ...

I did the retest and have to correct myself. This is very much identical. I guess I still need to learn and practice better auto-focus. As so many times the difference is more behind the camera as ...

I agree here. I try to do the shoot again later and post full size JPEG. I don't know how to upload raw. Can someone give me a hint?
-
Sorry, I am still new to the forum. I will post raw next time. It makes sense. I did not know the forum allows huge files. As for this file it is ISO 200, 200mm, F4, 1/125s. I guess this is the ...

I thought so, too. I did not switch the camera settings in between and have center point focus on. It could be though. I have the feeling that with the GMII my pictures are more often nice and in ...

Sorry, I already deleted this shot. I think it underlines your statement that there is not much difference between the two lenses. It looks very similar.
-
Hi, I am still try to understand quality difference between 70-200 GII with TELE CONVERTER attached. I tried today first time and let me know your thoughts on quality and also PLEASE POST VOUR ...

The more I am taking pictures (I started photography a couple of months ago) the more I understand the FL that I like. I definitely like 24mm as I am coming from Iphone and my eyes are just so ...

Here is another example. Again 20-70 vs 24-70 indoors, 200%, average light, tripod. This is 50mm. I do think they are very close in real world. 20-70 F4 G 24-70 F2.8 GMII

Thank you PWPhotography. I am a big fan of your work and your images in Africa are one of the reasons I believe in this lens. I might be not a good enough photographer and still learning. Your ...

Hi, I have both lenses and I am happy with 20-70 F4 and also did recent trip with it. I sometimes feel it isn't as sharp as the 24-70 GMII. I took a picture with tripod and same settings at F4 / ...

Thank you for the great feedback. I will definitely try this. I think the best advice is practice, practice, practice, ....

Here are some samples. Again, I am new to photography. Any tips are welcome. I edited the last two in Lightroom. These are all shoots with the 20-70 F4.

Hello, First of all I am new to photography and forum and appreciate all the good collaboration and many posts I read over 2 months here and would like to check-in with some lessons learned. I hope ...
