  • The Exposure Mode Setting in the Menu really only works when one of U1, U2, U3 is set on the mode dial on top.  It doesn’t really make sense to set the dial to one thing like P, Av, etc, and be ...
  • Reading comprehension issues? The OP was looking for opinions on GR III vs X100V. The people who were complaining about "better" and "worse" images seem to, on the surface, have some understanding ...
  • I'm curious. How many of you that prefer the GR II image Control settings to those of the GR III (for Positive Film, say) have tried adjusting the various settings (like Saturation, Hue, Contrast, ...
  • I have the NiSi adapter. It's very well made, mounts firmly. But I only use it as a small lens hood, and to mount filters. It stays on the camera 99% of the time, with a normal 49mm lens cap on it ...
  • About all I use the app for is the quick transfer, via Bluetooth, of location data and date/time from the phone to the camera. The camera then just inserts that location data into the exif header ...
  • normal 28mm - 6000 x 4000   24.0 mp crop 35mm -      4800 x 3200   15.4 mp crop 50mm -      3360 x 2240     7.5 mp You can, of course, do the same in post-processing. The in-camera crop is useful ...
  • I got a reply to my query/complaint about geotagging. Took a while but I did get a reply. It came from someone in the US, which made me wonder if the Canadian support office was understaffed or ...
  • Google can be your friend. I'd be willing to bet that 30 seconds worth of searching will turn up some examples. Also, why not try shooting your own images of your intended subject and change the ...
  • The GR III allows you to set the image crop to mimic either 35mm or 50mm.
  • To see what the original settings were, try this: In Image Process Settings/Image Control, select one of Custom1 or Custom2. Press Fn to change the settings for that. The first thing on the ...
  • Not very.
  • New firmware release v1.41 claims to have fixed this problem. A quick test shows that it now works for me, where I'm located. The notes from Ricoh seem to imply that someone didn't quite ...
  • I've used both brands of battery in both Olympus Tough and Ricoh GR III with no ill effects. They are the same size and have the same electrical characteristics.
  • Cascable app for IOS does raw transfer via WiFi from many Fuji cameras.
  • No idea - as I think I've mentioned previously, I was trying to figure out the geo-tagging bug. I have little interest in editing iPhone photos inside another camera. Why not try it for yourself?
  • I just now tried the same with an iPhone image. Copied it straight out of the phone into the directory on the SD card that already contained one GR III image. Both the iPhone and the GR III images ...
  • Works for me on my lowly normal GR III.
  • In the process of trying to figure out the geo-tagging bug in the GRIII, I copied some jpeg images taken with a Fuji camera to the GRIII SD card. They displayed just fine in the GRIII. They were ...
  • In my experience, the Olympus batteries are identical. Same dimensions, same electrical characteristics, etc. I have a couple for an Olympus camera and I use them interchangeably.
  • Go shoot the same scene with the same camera settings and lens using all three cameras - Ricoh, Fuji, Nikon - at the same time. Post results here for comparison.
