Since there is no riots and burning cars, I assume it was a white man...

mosc: This lens is great but... where's the ultra wide prime? Ideally I'd want something like 10mm f2.8 and it not to cost more than the 15mm f1.7 either. Samyang sells it, it's just manual focus and third party. Why don't Olympus or Panasonic release anything wider than 12? 24mm equiv is pretty "Standard Zoom" range on most APS-C or FF cameras. I expect such a large ecosystem to have something wider, especially because you can adapt stuff from bigger systems for telephoto but you can't adapt wider choices as easily.

Manual focus for ultra-wide angle lens is not a must, at least for me. Usually anything further than 2-3 meters away is at infinity. So in most cases you can put it at infinity and forget about it.

Such a sexy lens. Great look, nice controls. Smooth bokeh. Lumix GM5 and this lens still is my dream combination for street photography. But sadly I can't afford to have more than one camera. Thanks for the samples.

Too much defective gear going out to the market lately. You have to be very careful. Testing before purchasing is a must. Otherwise you will have to walk a very long and hard road to get it calibrated. I've learned my lesson with Nikons' lenses.

Damn, I would buy one today if there was a modern version with 1" sensor and fixed 28 or 35 mm focal lens and body in black. It would be ultimate discrete tool for street :)

dudewithcamera: Can we stop calling the Fuji XT series "DSLR style"? They're SLR-styled. No DSLR ever looked like the cameras in this series.

This series of models look the way SLR cameras looked *before* digital.

I'm not making a dig on DSLR styling. It's fine. I have a DSLR. I'm just saying that these cameras specifically do not look like DSLRs Panasonic's GH series, yes -- these, no.

jon404: Since when did a smartphone become a camera? Crappy ergonomics, horrible in low light. This is like comparing a skateboard with an automobile...
PS... I just bought a Ricoh GR. Hack that, Wikileaks CIA folks!

It makes photos - it's a camera. You wouldn't believe, but pinhole is a camera too.

Exactly. Perfect for playing around and spying through the windows on your neighbours in multi-storied house.

I understand that my nick name might be funny to you, but situation that Nikon puts me in, is definately not funny for me.

Under "Nikon" articles you guys are scribbling in the comments how mobile phones are killing or taking over camera sales and how huge is mobile-phone-photography. But every time under phone announcement you COMPLAIN what is it doing here...

Daniel Lauring: Since this camera doesn't require working with Fuji's existing APSC interchangeable lenses Fuji should consider making it a FF or even MF camera. Barring that leap they should have at least upgraded it's weather protection. More than one customer have had dust infiltration issues and failed X100's from water encounters.

I think APS-C size is fine and enough. It saves a lot of bulkiness and peoples' money. FF X100 would be unaffordable to potential buyers. But in my opinion they could have at least upgrade the lens to 35/1.8 or 1.7

Looks like HTC is trying to attract some of the Note 7 buyers. If I would be one of them I wouldnt even consider it. No 3,5mm jack, average size battery for big screen, stupid glass back..

At my current personal state of war with Nikons' warranty service I'm not even watching this propaganda. They couldn't even calibrate their defective lens for two times.

With all due respect to Sony, personally I would go with Lumix DMC-GM1 which goes for 1/3 of the Sony's price. Bigger sensor, same pocketable size. All that super power and speed that Sony has is irrelevant to me.
