About me:

Former DSLR consultant for a Japanese DSLR manufacturer who
got tired of consulting work and decided to spend the rest of his
remaining life doing what he enjoys doing. Life as a DSLR
consultant is boring and you don't get to take pictures often. :-)

How bout faux-HDR, that would be appropriate wouldn't it? It's just one shot, one moment and processed in fancy lighting.

Maybe Apple should buy this company over...with Kodak's patent trove they can start to aim their litigation sights on DSLR manufacturers :-)

On article Pentax Ricoh updates firmware for Q and lenses (20 comments in total)

Sensor size relates to dynamic range handling and low light noise handling, so in broad daylight, the Q can match any DSLR. But it's true that smartphones like the iPhone 4S can match the Q in image quality.

I would not mind getting the Q if it was cheaper though.

I was a former DSLR consultant to Sony Asia and I was paid for what I developed for them. In no way will I give this up for free to DPR in return for the hosting service. If I wanted to host a site without paying, I can get a free site from tumblr or posterous for this.

I'm sorry but bloggers are not writers nor qualified journalist. The amount of unmoderated articles will be very difficult to manage should the flood gates be open. Good luck DPR.....!
