amateurphotographer: I went to see this product today as I was curious about it's "geared" capability. When seeing this product, I can now confirm it does not function like their 405 or 410 "geared" heads, similarly not comparable in function to the Arca Swiss D4 or Cube. You cannot get degree adjustments by turning the knobs. Basically it's a pan and tilt head using friction adjustments. FYI Manfrotto site doesn't use the word "geared" or even B&H. My suggestion is to correct this article to avoid confusion.

"XPRO Geared 3 Way Head with Adapto Body" That's right off the Manfrotto page. I see the word geared pretty clearly! Click the link in the article and see for yourself.

Pointless! Absolutely no value on any front, photographically or otherwise. 10 seconds was too long to watch!!

So what such a big deal with not disclosing the price he received? Did he sign a non-disclosure agreement?

ecuadordave: Wow, this really has turned into a "see who has the most criticism" board. The images are remarkable for exactly the reason you all are complaining. It's easy to cry "Photoshopped" without really analyzing how the photographer made the shot. It takes a second glance, but the girl is obviously jumping out of a moving surf, which is why there are no waves caused by her feet. Before criticizing, try appreciating what it takes in today's world to make a photo stand out from the crowd.

Amen, I'm beginning to really DISLIKE this board, and all the critics on it!!

This is great!! The low level light is really the only way to look at high ISO settings and have some meaning. Who shoots ISO 3200 or 6400 on a nice bright scene? Thanks, you added a lot of 'value' to the camera test with this new image!

Yes, nothing is sharp in this pic (or tack sharp). At 1/500 is should not be camera movement. This is disappointing as something should be in focus somewhere.
