Zvonimir Tosic: Who said that mirror is dead?
Now, cram inside this smartphone a very large optical sensor, say m4/3; lay it down, slant slightly. Then slant above it a piece of thin mirror, move it towards the periscope far enough that it reflects the image sent by this periscope entirely onto the sensor, and that's it.

Noone minds a thick phone. In fact everyone has one after adding protective covers and screen protect. If this would come from factory they would have a lot more space for big sensors.

PWPhotography: Waiting for Note 9 :-)

Note9 without curved edges. Note8 just doesn't make sense.

liquidsquid: Finally, an ideal upgrade path for my GH-2 that ticks off all of the boxes I care about.

Now I am curious what the RAW output from the sensor looks like for long night shots such as storm photography and possibly casual astronomy. Yes, I know I can get amazing results with larger sensors, but I cannot deal with taking large cameras around for casual fun hobby work. Should I expect the GH5 output to look the same, or will this look even better?

Nothing beats the GH2! The most single handed camera I ever used. Such a pitty that all cameras got bigger after that.

Samsung FORGOT that there are actual SERIOUS USERS of the Note.

Time lapse?

How do you edit that? Take one frame from every camera?

Is the time-lapse issue addressed?

brewstout: Ok, going out on a limb here as it may not be anything people on this site have done. Does this camera capture orbs (of light) better than the usual DSLR?

I shoot landscapes where 2/3 of the scene is night-sky.
Will I notice any difference in the night-skies when using my ultra-wide angle lens on this camera?
Or is this an exclusive feature for tele-photos right into the sky?

Panasonic did NOT let us test/compare GH2 with GH3. You could try it but not allowed to "compare" anything. Whats the point then?

EssexAsh: but is there a "select all" button. Kinda annoying when you have 200+ photos you want to remove and there isnt one.

No, still not fixed.
You still have to do it from the app Photos.

Zuzullo: LOVE IT. Thank you Canon!

I own the best non-SLR in the world: Canon G6

Built-in Time lapse
Built-in Neutral density filter
f/2,0-3,0
Macro 1:1 (35mm equiv.)
TTL-flash
100% reliable WYSIOYG
Bayonet lens Filter Adapter (way faster to use than SLR screw-in sys)
Perfect grip and balance! (SLR-like)

...and I moved recently to M43 world :( which deeply disappoints me every day. I need to carry 3 lens to get a similar performance. Ridiculous!

Now I just have to wait that you guys tune up that lens for the same f/2,0 of the Legendary G-series ... or even faster.

Hi daza:
One you have a fully articulated screen :) You can never go back!
