I hope he will review that RF 24-50mm as well because I'm wondering if it could be a somewhat soft lens.
-
It's telling me once again we will never see third party options. So buy your RF camera to shoot EF glass, and if EF glass doesn't satisfy your needs look for another brand.
-
:-D All the small zooms and a lot of compact primes come with ILIS. The f/1.2 primes are in another segment. Canon doesn't care about (third party) EF glass. So what's the point, adding IBIS for ...
-
Yes, and it will be better for ergonomics and handling for sure, but to beat that 28-60mm optically at a very low price point could be pretty challenging. The A7C also fits the 40&50mm f/2.5 G ...

That might not be enough. that's somewhat protecting R6II sales less wheels, that will protect R6II sales very well O yeah, Canon is pretty creative in lowering value of entry level stuff. I'm ...
-
The main question: If it has fast AF (unlike the R and RP) and it's 24Mp or more, what's Canon going to do (what will be cr*ppled) to protect R6II sales.
-
You're intentionally mixing up different types of correction. The problem with distortion correction is it's hurting IQ, no matter how far you'll stop down. On high res sensors it's less of a ...

If "Canon needs" something it's maybe you not needing a Canon? - Sony FE Sonnar T* 35mm f/2.8 ZA - Samyang 35mm F/2.8 AF Just buy the appropriate camera for your preferred glass.
-
That will be the case I guess. Personally I don't mind. My Tamron 17-35mm has no distortion at 24mm, so I can bring that one if it's that important.
-
Get well soon! Spring is coming. A little bit of GAS satisfaction is a very good medicine I guess. ;-) That Tamron is a nice lens with a beautiful rendering on full frame cameras. It will work ...

This are the sharp telephoto zooms I would recommend. M isn't about compactness, M is about price.
-
Given the price point the FE 28-60mm might perform better..... I'll wait getting a 28-60mm to see watch and read some reviews of the RF 24-50mm first though. A compact zoom on the R5 frees up the ...

Sigma EF 50-100mm f/1.8 Art Sigma EF 70-200mm f/2.8 Sports Canon Ef 100-400mm mkII White EF L primes in the 500-800mm range will do fine as well.
-
Don't care about the viewfinder etc. All it needs is a front dial.
-
There's nothing wrong with f/7.1 on a full frame sensor. f/8.0 on a 32Mp 1.6 crop sensor is clearly within diffraction territory though. Not unusable, but it's a compromise.
-
There's a huge difference between the Sony 28-70mm and 28-60mm. I think the sacrificing of reach isn't all about saving size and weight, but about gaining some IQ too.
-
That's a great advice. Don't waste time.
-
This range is used a lot, so this isn't just about weight in the bag, this is about weight on the camera. Having a light weight lens for this range is huge.
-
To keep it small while maintaining optical performance. If you want a longer range there's the 24-105mm stm. The 24-105mm stm is as large as the 85mm f/2.0 IS stm. A smaller zoom can be very nice ...
