Several youtubers who use Sony are former GH5 users and switched over due to Lumix's unreliable AF and FF sensor. Now S5ii has both, with better video features, so it's normal some of them will ...

Rapid progress is a must at this stage for Lumix, once they finally decided to adopt PDAF after overthinking for 4 years and seeing several G users moved to Sony and invested in Sony's ecosystem ...

Translate into ENG Mr. AF: "the ultimate in AF is to be able to focus on the subject intended by the photographer without thinking about it in full auto." Mr. Creative Design : "I believe that each ...

All are very good images. BTW, Richard, how do you compare this kit lens (20-60) vs other LUMIX pro lens like 16-35/4 or Sigma 28-70/2.8? Thank you.

Your Needs: Still + video for kids Stills: what you do with final images? If you post on social media, or print and frame (not billboard size), 24mp is plenty enough and great for storage too. 33mp ...

I would say 20-60 is good for many things except portrait. If you get 50/1.8 or better 85/1.8, then you can travel the world with 2 lens set.

If you dont get benefit of PDAF & Active IBIS, the lighter/smaller S5 photo IQ is the same as S5II. However, S5II future resell value will be much higher than no-PDAF S5. What I find the key ...

Thank you. I like sealed box because I had experience in many locations (Thailand, Iceland etc) when moisture got inside into camera/lens because the high temp difference between room & outside. It ...

IMHO, if Leica SL3 comes, S1 II will come, since they use the same phototype. I guess S1ii will come with 33mp or more for 4k60 uncropped, 4k120, S1H/A7R4 screen. Seems Lumix find "magic formular" ...

Thank you Richard, if my wish comes true, new L lens would be: 24-200 f3.5-5.6 OIS, 67 filter Compact 20-50mm f2.8 Compact 50-100mm f2.8 All three are inspired by m43 14-140, 10-25, 25-50 Power ...

I will buy both if they are compact & affordable. I'm also willing to invest more L-mount lens after superb S5ii announcement (PDAF, IBIS, X version) PDAF works well with Sigma lens too.

Any suggestion is welcome 😊. S5, fp, 4 Lumix lens, Rode Mic, CPL+ND Filter, Tripods, Osmo 3, Lowepro

If Lumix think PDAF is new tech and price out S5ii, they will make mistake since PDAF is not new at all.. I have S5+fp, and won't buy visibly bigger S5ii. Still hope Lumix makes smaller body or RF ...

Well, these are what Lumix's name for more than a decade No Letter = DSLR Style, Standard model (G7, G90, S1, S5) X = Range Finder (GX9, GX850) B = Box Style (BS1H, BGH1) R = High Resolutions (S1R) ...
-
Given that the Lumix historical "X" belongs to RF style and the popularity of SonyA7C, I guess S5IIX will be stripped down RF version of S5II with PDAF. In other words, S5IIX is GX8 version of S ...
-
If they launch new products like S5 or GH6, they would send them all around the world. This means they dont have new product at all, or have the "break-though" one. They already implement PDAF with ...

Thank you. Both images are OOC JPEG without post processing/editing.

I have both 42.5/1.7 and Noct 42.5/1.2. I picked up 1.7 when I want to travel light in three prime combo, 15 & 25 & 42.5, with 46mm filters (37-46 step up right). I also use 42.5/1.7 for close up ...

iPhone 14 ProMax vs GX9 (4y old). Recently shot with both, photo and video IQ are night and day. GX9 is in a different league. The most difference is in noise recorder into video. i14 is so poor. ...
