  • Created discussion thread My new G9 is broke!
Hi All, Well, I finally pulled the trigger on the G9 (with the grip) from B&H. Got it about a week ago and took it with me for the "long weekend" to do a photo shoot with my sister-in-law, and some ...
  • The price difference is substantial (about $70 here in the US - more than 60%) You feel it's worth the extra?
  • My main complaints about the GX7 are: it's a bit slow, and I don't love the low-light results, even with flash. The out-of-camera skin tones always seem off, so even if I WANTED to shoot JPGs, I ...
  • Hey guys! Thanks for all the feedback. Still not sure what I'm going to do, but, of course the GX9 isn't available yet. The GX9 is probably good enough for my needs. Although, I may go for the G9, ...
  • I played around with the G9 at Samy's back in December before they were available for sale. It was pretty awesome, but big. Not as big as my D600, of course. Or anywhere close to it. But one of my ...
  • Actually, the GX7 has a basic 2-axis in-camera stabilization. But it won't work in conjunction with lens OIS. So it's useful for my non-stabilized lenses. And it's nowhere near as good as the ...
  • The GX9 comes with the 12-60 lens. The slow model. How awesome would that be if it came with the 12-60 f/2.8-4?? Of course, if that was the case, you'd be buying the lens and getting the camera ...
  • The GX85 is basically the replacement for my GX7. So it's incrementally better than my current camera, and incrementally worse than the GX9. And for a new unit, it's $600, with the 12-32 lens, ...
  • The G85 is about the same price as the GX9, with the same lens. And the GX9 doesn't have an AA filter either, and has a newer sensor. I would expect that it would be an improvement over the G85 in ...
  • Ooh! Good to know, Mark! I hope that means we'll see that here.
  • Replied in Both!
If I need "small," I can use my GM5. ;) In fact, my GX7 was basically retired when I got the GM5 because I'd use my D600 when I needed to go big. When I got the 12-35, I went back to the GX7. That ...
  • Created discussion thread To X or not (GX9 v G9)
I’ve had a GX7 for over 4 years, and it’s always been my “other” camera besides my Nikon. I got a killer deal on the 12-35 last year and I’ve noticed a definite improvement in the quality of my ...
  • Replied in Which 70-200?
In the f/4 range, you only have the Nikkor, which is in the same price range as the Sigma & Tamron. So I don't think that solves anything. Thanks for the outside-the-box suggestion though
  • Created discussion thread Which 70-200?
Does anyone have any opinion on the Tamron G2 & Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 models vs the Nikkor? I know the Nikkor is better, but it's also more than 2x the cost.
  • Those all handle the editing half. What about asset management?
