The moon is a harsh mistress
Like flowers, you cannot possibly take enough pictures of the moon. The moon offers infinite potential for creativity. I dare say no two moon shots look the same. Shooting the moon from time to time with an appropriately small aperture (the moon is a very large object, requiring enormous depth of field - translating into a small aperture) also reminds you to clean your sensor.
