Aurora over Jokulsarlon
The 2011/2012 winter in the Northern hemisphere has been particularly good for watching Auroras. On April 24 a large geomagnetic storm caused these Auroras over the Jokulsarlon iceberg lagoon in Iceland. It was a perfect night with clear skies and no wind. It was a truly unique experience! The sun is approaching its point of maximum solar activity in 2013. More to come in the autumn of 2013!
