Gloster Javelin FAW9
This Javelin, XH897, was built as an FAW7, later converted to FAW9 standard. It was delivered to RAF Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire in 1959. It went to Boscome Down in 1968 as a test aircraft where it was used in several test programs including the Concorde supersonic airliner. This is why it is painted in an unusual red and white colour scheme.
