Campsite at altitude of 4,500m, slightly below the Salkantay Pass, which is at altitude of 4,600m. Temperatures were -20ºC. Picture is towards the north (Peru is in the southern hemisphere) – the Salkantay mountain (peak is 6,250m, or 20,500 feet) is straight ahead.
