Z8 File Naming Convention

Is there any way to change the file naming convention used by the Z8 from _Z8DXXXX.NEF to NOT reset when XXXX = 9999. I would like XXXXX to keep going to 10000 , 10001, etc. Or better yet use a name/date/time in title ?? I did not see in the manual. Thank you in advance.

Nope, old operating system (like DOS) naming limitations. Use Lightroom or another renaming application to rename your files in post.

I use the Nikon Transfer tool, and let it automatically rename the files
"Date/Time Shot" <original name>.<extension>
So: 2024-07-05 13-00-00 ETA_xxxx.NEF

I also use "Create subfolder for each transfer"
"Underscore"<Date shot>
So: _2024-07-05

Due to the _ it will be top of the folder list.
And when i have purged ugly pictures I rename the folder "2024-07-05 Session name"

But when using the automatic Wifi upload, the images keep the original filename..
