i recently took out my yongnuo RF605C triggers for a project in where i needed to take a photo remotely, but i quickly run into trouble,my triggers refuse to cooperate and release the shutter.when i press the test button on the trigger the shutter releases just fine, but when i try to trigger it remotely with another trigger it doesn't budge,i thought it might be a connection problem but i quickly crossed that of my list of possible problems,i have no trouble remotely setting off my YN560 iii speedlite, and the triggers are connected to each other, this is indicated by the fact that when i press the fire button on my transmitter trigger off camera the light indicator on both triggers goes off,but ass soon as i connect the shutter release cable to the camera instead of the light indicator on the bottom right lighting green and then red as it should, the left indicator lights green and no release takes place,i have tried this on two different 550d bodies as well as a 2000d,same problem every time,i don't know what i'm doing wrong

What you said above that I made bold makes me suspect the in-hand transmitting unit is activating the flash circuit in the receiving unit, not its shutter circuit.

A setting on the hand-held unit controls what its test button does. The YN RF-605 transceivers like my RF-603M2 units require the hand-held unit to be set to "TRX" mode so its test button will activate the shutter circuit in the receiving unit (also set to "TRX").

If you are using RF-602 communication protocol the manual says set transmitter to "TX" and receiver to "RX" for remote shutter operation.
