X100vi Ovf+boost mode random focus error

Hello,

I bought the x100vi a couple of weeks ago. I have been getting this error while using boost mode and the Ovf.

The camera becomes unresponsive, the red led starts blinking, and I need to power it off and on again.

I am able to replicate it using these settings. This is happening without using a filter or an adapter, and with the camera updated to the latest firmware version.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Getting my x100vi this week and been out of the Fuji game for a while. Is there a reason to use Boost Mode with the optical viewfinder? Thought that mode was supposed to up the refresh rate of the EVF and speed of the camera for fast action moments.

x100V here so I can’t help the OP.

The reason for using boost mode with the OVF would be one of practicality. I want boost mode on when using the EVF. It’s trivial to flip the switch to change between viewfinders. Toggling boost every time I switched would be an additional step. Ergo, I leave the camera in boost mode unless there’s a compelling reason not to. (Some desert island/last battery scenario that only occurs in bad TV dramas and internet debates.)

The OVF+boost mode error seems to be solved by the firmware 1.21.
