What programs are you using for viewing photos?

My ACDSee database has its origin in the year 2000 when I bought my first digital camera. Since that time, it did every major upgrade without any problems. Most used database features are the hierarchical categories and calendar.
I used ACDSee for two years before switching to Faststone Image Viewer. IMO it is much better, and faster.

two features I like of ACDsee are the (sort by) tagging and the image basket. Is there any other program that implements both these things, anyone?

Yup

So LR great though it is for easy and simple PP, as a viewer is unreliable. My audience will be viewing them in Windows Pic viewer, on the web or in print - and there is always some colour and brightness shift, as well as more noise than is apparent within LR.

LR gives its own unique beautified view of the picture file. Not one that matches what the audience will view.

Does anyone else have the same problem? How do you cope with this?
No, Windows viewer looks the same, or close enough.

ACDsee Free , because I only want see photos on fast way, and this one do the job very well. For editing I have other programs, PS, LR and others.

I can see images directly from my OS too, with codec packs from OS/Camera manufacturers.
