Tired of waiting to use my GFX100RF like I want to use it.

DxO photolab is going to take about six months to support the RF. The godox it30pro and v480 flashes for Fuji are still missing in action in the US. All are CRITICAL to my full enjoyment of this ultimate EDC piece of kit.

I am making do with Jpegs and using Darktable/Microsoft Photos to work through my RAW files, but this delay from DxO is just unacceptable. (I say that but I AM going to accept it, but I won't like it).

I used the Godox it30pro on my Sony, and it is nice little flash that can fill a full room. No need for a bounce flash as the TTL function seemed to work like a charm. Also I can buy TWO of these flashes incase I need a bounce, or just use the v480. In the meanwhile I am using the tt350, and while it is small it throws the balance of the camera off.

Hoping these companies hurry up and get their acts together so I can really enjoy this setup.

These might be considered ‘first world problems’.
True, but the 100RF is pretty much the flagship for the "first world" camera. :)

DxO always took a long while to add support for new cameras.

I prefer 'first world problems' versus 'last world problems' :-)

The raw converter supplied by Fujifilm itself, Raw File Converter EX 3.0, doesn't yet support the RF. It's a customized version of Silkypix, which itself doesn't yet support the RF. As it happens, I posted a query about this to Silkypix support just the other day. I received their reply yesterday:

Thank you for your inquiry about our product.

The SILKYPIX series does not yet support FUJIFILM GFX 100RF RAW data.

At this time, support for FUJIFILM GFX 100RF RAW data has not been determined.

For this reason, we are unable to provide information on when the camera will be compatible.

We will accept this matter as a request and inform our development staff.

Thank you for your time.

I'm alarmed to think it took your request for it to occur to Fuji's development team that perhaps they ought to support their new camera...

This seems to be DXO's MO. Why do I use Capture One? I downloaded the GFX100RF raw samples that were released on PetaPixel and DPR the after the GFX100RF was announced about a month before it was released. My version of C1 supported it. If DXO supports the GFX100 II there should be little effort to add the RF. It may be the digital crops and aspect ratios that are holding them up. But six months is a bit much.

Yes, it can be read that way, but I just took that as a boilerplate brush-off. ("Thanks so much, we'll add your query to the list of requests we've received for that feature.")

To be clear, it's not Fujifilm, it's Adwaa Co., which is the current owner/developer of Silkypix. But it's still annoying that Fujifilm didn't make sure this was lined up in time for the camera's release, or at least shortly thereafter.

On Fuji's site it says support for RF is in preparation.

Yes, I know. It's been stuck that way for months. The Fujifilm section of the compatibility list on the Silkypix website has been similarly frozen. That's why I sent the query to Silkypix - they're the ones responsible for the software. When the necessary coding is done, it will show up in both Raw Converter EX and Silkypix Developer Studio Pro 12. I have the latest versions of both.

I stopped using DXO because of its inability to support cameras within a reasonable time span. Hasselblad and Leica seem to lay in the intray, while Nikon and Canon pass through the system.

Its the same with lenses.

This is a REAL issue. And while I expected a month or two delay (which is what they originally stated), moving it to the same date of the new release, has me thinking they are gaming the system to get me to buy a new version. If that's the case, I am definitely done with DxO. Because at that stage, they are no better than a subscription with a one-two year renewal.

My DxO Photolab still works for my .cr2 files from my m43 setup, that's what I was looking for...

For completeness, I've submitted a query to Fujifilm as well. We'll see whether they are willing/able to provide a usefully informative response.

As an RF user with both DXO and C1 I'm in the position where having consolidated all my camera gear down to 2 cameras - an RF and a GFX100s I'm left with DXO only supporting 1 of my camera. As I'm in the middle of a project which I've started with C1 (no RF support in DXO) and as this project grows will remain there given the edits etc.

I would have done this project in DXO previously, but given the non support until September when I will be deep into what I'm doing using C1 I can not see me moving back to DXO

All of which leaves me with yet another rationalisation decision to review. I was moving to DXO from C1, but this delay, and subsequent volume of work being put through C1 along with the lack of an iPad version leaves DXO trailing a bit.

Where I was going to move all in to DXO Photolab 8 with film pack and viewpoint from C1, I may well leave my DXO at V8 and now just re-focus on C1 and call it a day on Photolab

Fujifilm USA tech support responded quickly:

Thanks for reaching out—There has not been disclosure of an official release date. The last update from Silkypix for their RAW Converter was in January 2025, so it’ll be dependent on their timeline.
