Yesturday a suiside bomber blew up in a pool club in the industrial zone of my town (Rison-Le-Zion), the attack was taken place in a small unfamiliar place (few sreets away there is a huge mall but probably the fact that there are two armed scurity men in every enterence detered the suicide bomber and made him look for other location). Of course I immidiatly called all my friends to check on them and luckily no one of them was heart this time but there are 15 people dead in this attack and about 34 injured (It's sad to say but the death toll will shurly rise because a lot of the injured men are in critical condition, some where thrown out of the window from the force of the blast). As I came back from work today I couldn't resist and stoped by to see the site, the walls and windows in the front of the building where blown away and the area in front of the building was closed by the police and a small crowd of people stood by and wached the scene, most of them shocked by what they saw (it's the first terror attack in Rishon and people that didn't go to malls in Tel-Aviv because they where afraid don't know what to do because now they see that nowhere is safe). I had my DA in my car so I took it and made some pictures of the scene and uploaded them to my pbase gallery it was hard to take good shots becouse it was darkening so some shots are a bit underexposed but I think that these shots revele a different point of view from what you can see in the news and you are all invited to visit my page http://www.pbase.com/zivg77/terror_in_rishon

Thank you Arlene

I usualy don't go to the terror attacks sites even whene it happends close to my workplace in Tel-Aviv but this time I made an exeption and I feer that sadly it can become a habit, taking these pics and sharing them with others makes me feel that I have done something (whether good or bad is to the spectator to decide) and I think that it even makes the feeling off helplessnes that follows these terror attackes a bit less painfull.
Best regards,

Hello Ziv G

I can only try and imagine how horrible this must be for you. It is so sad that this has to happen and so many innocent lives of men, women and children are lost. I hope that some day we can live in peace.

Ziv, you are in our thoughts and prayers, with hopes that this will soon come to a peaceful resolve. The world is a very small place, as shown by this very ability to talk and share pictures from afar instantly. There is no room for terrorism such as we have witnessed in recent history.

Thanks for the pictures. It is difficult to appreciate the reality of what happened, even after Sept. 11th. Your pictures do bring it home. I hope the terrorists eventually learn they are killing more than people, they are killing the chances for fulfillment of the desires of their own people for a homeland and peace.
Regards and sympathy,

Thanks for the pictures. My sympathies to the people in your country affected by this latest bombing.

I really liked the other more pleasant photos in your gallery.

I don't understand why Israel still lets Palestinians walk into the country. Why don't you guys build a fence around the Palestians and not let them in???

Sorry to hear this Ziv! What a crazy world that we live in! Why don't people just find the way to live in peace? It's sad!

Ziv,

Thanks so much for sharing! Our hearts go out to your people, and even to those other folks since both of you are victims of those evil leaders accross the border....

Coming from someone in the middle of the USA, Indiana, I would like to express to you my very highest honor and respect for your people. That your fellow citizens have not risen up and wiped your enemy out is a testament to your civility and says wonderful things about the very different God you worship as opposed to the other side.

Many of us know the truth, CNN lies.

joe

joe, that was well said.

i ususally don't involve myself in political discourse on the net but the lack of respect shown the israelis across the globe is appalling to me. how many poolhalls, italian restaurants, buses, etc. have the israelis blown up with bombs filled with nails?

we all know the answer.....
