Great captures there. I especially like #1. In a way it tells a story; it shows the view how the seeds are connected to the cone and how easily they would become dislodged. It reminds me of hair folicals. Interesting.
i was put off by the stick in the centre while the pic was loading (slowly, i'm on dialup) but when it opened and the balance of the leaves came through, much better )

I have to say that, because I have had a Tamron 90 on order in the UK for the past month with no delivery (and before that, the Nikon 105 VR from the start of May).
In the intervening time, I bought a second hand 180mm ED. Np great shots yet, but here's a few:
