Should I return this lens?

Just purchased a vintage medium format camera and the lens has a light scratch on the outermost glass.

Should I just return the camera? Do you think this will affect the shots?

it depends on how much you paid. I see some on Ebay that look in good conditions for about $100 USD.

I doubt that you will see any degradation in image quality because of that scratch.

The camera was about $330 total after tax. Koni Rapid Omega 100.

I saw some on eBay as well, my concern is that almost all were in crap condition so it might be hard to find a mint lens for this old camera.

It will have very little effect. The worst case scenario is shooting directly into the sun. You still may not notice any effect.

If the scratch is deep, fill it in with black ink. I doubt you'll see any image degradation from it.
