Question about Operating Temperatures

Hello,

I got my 300D a little while ago and I really like it! I'm a construction worker and I actually use this camera on many of the jobsites. Winter is here and it is very cold where I live and its only going to get worse (0F-32F) Here is my question, will I have to part with my camera because of the weather temps? The manual says that the operating temps are (32F-104F) Do I have to wait untill spring to shoot again? What can happen if I do use the camera out in the cold? Damage?

I leave the camera on the seat of my truck all day while I work (all outdoors) and I know the temps drop down quite a bit. Any sugestions?

should be ok, keep the batteries warm inside your coat.
