PS question...RE: opening files

I have to batch process about 400 jpegs.
Is there a limit to how many files PSCS can open?

If you set up your action properly so that it will open, process and save your images, and then close the file, then you can process as many images as you want to. Photoshop only opens one of them at a time, but it is done completely unattended.

I have processed groups of images with actions that I have created where I leave the computer completely unattended overnight while it processes the images. If you try to open all the images in Photoshop and then apply the batch process, then you would be limited by the amount of RAM your computer has installed.
