Hi. I have purchased a Meike MK320 flash to use with my Nikon D500 camera. The flash is not detected by the camera and does not capture the aperture or ISO. It does not work in TTL mode although it does work in manual mode. I am really confused because according to the manufacturer it is compatible with the Nikon D500, and I think other users of this camera also find it works fine. I have several flashes and they all work OK with my D500.
Please, can someone help me with this problem?

Thanks.

Note: Note: This flash does work well with my old D200.

According to this Meike link the MK320 is available in versions for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and M 4/3 Panasonic, OMD cameras. You won't have TTL flash exposure automation unless the flash matches your brand of camera.

Is it possible you do not have the Nikon version?

If you do have the Nikon version I would clean all contact surfaces with a soft white pencil eraser, make sure the spring loaded foot pins move freely up and down and that the foot is fully seated in the hot-shoe of the camera. If still not working when set to TTL mode the unit may be defective. :-( This happens because the manufacturers unfortunately relegate final assembly quality control inspection to the end user in order to keep cost down.

Welcome to dpreview.
