The Theme is Have some Fun. Any image of people or animals having fun. They can be participating in sports, family activities, solo activities (like reading, dancing, hobbies, etc.) as long as it appears they are enjoying what they are doing (or not doing if you catch someone napping).

This Mini-Challenge #602 begins now, and ends October 7, 2020 at 18:00 HST

Standard Modified rules for Mini Challenges . . . aka . . "The legal stuff"

1. Submit a maximum of 3 Entries to win and/or as many Exhibits as you wish.

2. Photos must have been taken by you but can be from any camera, including cell phones, and may have been taken at any time no earlier than 2016 include scanned images of from film days.

3. There are no restrictions on processing or on composite shots - all are acceptable. It's the image that counts, not how it was produced. Post processing and modification can be as light as you like, all the way up to fully abstract or composite images.

4. Please state in the header of your post, or in the comments bar below each image, whether they are "Entry" or "Exhibit". Non-labelled submissions will be assumed to be Exhibits. I will ask if a non-labeled submission is an Entry or Exhibit.

5. It's best to post all images using the "Reply to thread" button below this first post. This makes collating the entries and exhibits much easier, but images sometimes need to be posted in comments when sub-threads develop, to keep the sense of the conversation going, so I will hunt right through the posts looking for valid images.

6. At the end of this challenge, I will announce First, Second and Third places from the Entries in a separate RESULTS thread, and I may select some other submissions, entries or exhibits, for Honorable Mentions.

Grand Prize: The First Place winner becomes the host of the next challenge and has 3 days to begin it. The winner can respond to the challenge setter with a forum post or PM. If that individual doesn't respond in 3 days, or has to decline to serve, the Second Place winner becomes the next host. If that individual declines to serve, the Third Place winner becomes the next host.

Definitely my favorite of the set. Many times a day I want to make this face at my boss.....

All are great exhibits. I had to laugh out loud at Innie or Outie.

Thank you Karen for the Exhibits.

Aloha,

Val

and Mikey's laugh is infectious. I am smiling ear to ear.

Thanks you for the exhibits, Jerry.

Aloha,

Val

Was it the altitude or the chocolate that made Beverly giddy? Great photos of people having fun. I wish I had seen the dancers in Beijing when I was there. But that was back in 2001.

Thanks for the Entries, Jerry!

Aloha,

Creative theme Val. Love your second exhibit - Mum & bubs - a classic 👌📸

The first 2 images show my wife Anna having fun feeding the locals on Orpheus Island off Townsville. The second underwater image is an Entry.
In the 3rd image Anna is posing in front of a group of masked boobies on Michaelmas Cay off Cairns.

The 4th image is Anna snorkelling with nurse sharks at Caye Caulker in Belize.

Sorry Val, I can't remember specifically what cracked her up, but making our own chocolate was a total blast. The dancers in Beijing were at a local park. They dance as a form of exercise and have a good time. We just happened to be walking by the group on our way to the visit the Temple of Heaven.

Wow! That is something I don't if I could do. Very Very Brave.

I have fed the fish in Hanauma Bay here in Hawaii and that is a lot of fun.

Absolutely great images of Anna having fun.

Mahalo Nui Loa,

Especially in Basque Country look very very enjoyable.

But that BBQ has got me hungry!

I was supposed to be in Salzburg next month, but all that got cancelled. I was going to take the Sound of Music tour and visit the meadow from the opening sequence. The glee on your wife's face is clear and uplifting. Now more than ever I want to travel back to the Alps.

Thank you so much for sharing these with us.

Aloha,

Val

Growing old is inevitable; growing up, however, is optional.
And I have opted out.

Thank you Val.

Sorry to hear about your canceled trip to the Alps. I was supposed to go to Scotland this year. We'll all have to wait a year or two.

None of the images to follow is a particularly skilful, or technically special, effort, they simply show some of the very best days of my life. Although the last image suggests otherwise at first sight, they all record the growing up of the same person...

The spontaneity of the laugh and smile really come through.

All really great images through the years of the same great person.

Thank yo for these entries, Mike.

Aloha,

Val

Though I like cats too, I will always lean towards a dog first. The joy and happiness they feel when they play, when they see you always makes me feel good. Especially after a looooong day alone in an office made for 60 people.

Thanks for the Exhibit, David.

Aloha,

Val
