Ok, if you use the tape, I imagine that you would want to clean the
LCD when you take it off. How would you do that to get rid of even
minute amounts of residue?

--Glad you dredged this one up. I just pulled the packing tape off
my uzi that has been on there for ten months. You should not wait
that long because you will get some residue. For clean up put a
bit of mineral oil on a lense cleaning tissue and spread it across
any residue, then wipe it up in small stokes. Mine came right off.
The lcd looks like it is still brand new! And I'm always wiping
off nose prints with my shirt tail (left eye better than right).
have fun!
--Don't assume other people are as ham-fisted as yourself. The buildAt least you dont have some weird plastic, causing glue build up
or some geek lookin cd case hangin on your cam.
olyman
quality of the clear plastic cover I installed on the digicam
looks like a factory accessory since its dimensions match the LCD
perfectly - You don't notice it as an add-on. Special black tape is
used at the edges to to form a black surround and hide the
double-sided tape as well as providing a dust free seal. I don't
know what you were visualizing above in your comment...
As for "glue-buildup", there isn't any - those plastic decals have
low-tack adhesive designed to allow for reusability.
...some of us did surpass beyond grade-school level when it comes
to thinking things up and "making" them.
