Hi Hans,
Sorry you've had a problem with this - I've had a look at the How To section in the Kodak Challenge pages of Pbase and I agree that it could be clearer.
Here's how to do it:
1) Ensure that you have logged out of your own Pbase account by clicking Logout at the top right of most Pbase pages
2) On the page that results from this, log back in as kodak_challenge using the procedure described
at
http://www.pbase.com/kodak_challenge/help
3) Navigate to the actual gallery you want to add an image to (e.g. http://www.pbase.com/kodak_challenge/challenge_1_exhibition_gallery )
4) If you have logged in properly, you will see at the top of the page a string of links like this:
kodak_challenge ~ profile ~ all galleries > > the challenges > > Challenge 1: Hyper Architecture > > edit this gallery
5) Click on Edit this Gallery
6) On the resulting page scroll down tothe section titled 'Upload Images to this Gallery'. Here you'll see two buttons, one for choosing a file on your local computer to upload and the other for uploaidng it once it's been chosen.
7) Depending on the speed of you connection, wait for up to a couple of minutes and the page should refresh, showing your newly uploaded picture as the bottom one in the list of pictures in that gallery. You can then scroll to it and select 'edit' from the Commands cloumn adjacent to it. This allows you to change the title, add captions and comments etc.
With a bit of practice, this should be really quick and easy but I do appreciate it can look daunting at first. The classic cause of frustration is not to be logged in as a user of the gallery to which you wish to upload - which means you don't see most of the options and links I have descibed here.
Good Luck (if you're still awake...)
Tim
