K-3 Mark III F/W 2.0 AF Test Sequence Example

This update has completely transformed the AF.C capability of the K-3 Mark III. To an extent I was not expecting at all.

Here's shots with a very busy easily camera confusing background.
AF.C Sel-EX M, AF type 3 and Trackability set to 5 (maximum).
Release/Focus Priority set to auto and AF hold "off".
High Speed Drive mode.
HD 55-300 PLM

My informal trial of the new FW in my K-3 III with screw driven FA lenses shown better AF speed and accuracy with subject in front of fuzzy background. It's not scientific, though, but I think the upgrade is worthwhile.

Thanks for the update, and your results look great!

Just did a quick test myself. In mode 3, my DA*1650 SDM can easily keep up with an object I move over 3-axis in front of the camera, in pretty low light indoors. The difference is very big indeed.
