Hard Core....

I was wondering, you often describe the layout but I'm more of a visual guy. I was wondering if you ever get the chance could you back up and take a picture of just how things are placed?

Part of my issue is my ABs and their modeling lights make it pretty hard for me to 'see' the light they put out. My current subjects are 2 and 4, so it's pretty hard to get them to let me shoot, check, and try again without getting hurried.

Thanks

A 550ex flash and photoflex SB for that tree shot. Was an overcast day, and pretty much killed any reflector that I was going to use. Held the 550 in my left hand while shooting that shot.

Did this too in that session. Same setup. 550 with SB on the helmet shot.

Regards, Phillip @ Keepsake,

No measuring angles, no crazy COI's, just plain ol photography. Tell me now, do you really see the light?

with 2 - 4 year olds, I don't get too locked in on proper angles, and lighting ratio's. If I did, I would never get any shots, because those little scrappers are all over the place, as your well aware of. Best thing to do, is get the lighting setup, so no matter where at in the set they may stand, sit, or crawl, you have enough light. ;)

Two lights on this one. One for the b/g with orange gel. Medium SB for her, with foamcore for fill, camera right.
