For all those wondering what beautiful bokeh is...

I'm outside of Tulsa, OK, USA

I had trouble seeing your pic, but, I finally saw a thumbnail shot of it. I've got a similar look here:

I need to get the owners to take off the halter though. (More PS than I care to do!)
Where do you live?
Your new neighbor looks a lot like my neighbor :)

Is the general understanding here for a 'nice bokeh' refering to
those "circular halos" on the blur background? the more round halo,
the nicer?
a nice bokeh will have a smooth edge and will also not have some wierd pattern within. a bad bokeh to the extreme will be like with the mirror lens and have a strong edge and look like donuts.

Thanks Daniella, looks like I have some wierd shape halos on my photos :(

And A Nicer Boken is proportion to a smaller F, hence proportion to a larger $ :P

By the way, any tips to predict how to get those 'halos' on the photo as you don't see them on the viewfinder?

first you need some highlights, second you need a good subject to background distance and then the aperture is also important. If you use too small F number you may totaly blur your background and not see the bokeh at all, so what you can do is find some highlights, then take it at different aperture.
