Focus point centering problem

I mainly shoot birds with my Z9 and Z6iii cameras. I have the main selector/OK button chosen for centering the AF-point which very often irratically without intention changes position ( not due to tracking mode but of some unintential pressuring) . I often shoot in cold weather and my gloves on and correcting the AF-point from one edge to the middle is sometimes impossible as the OK button is to small. I have earlier had the AF-point fixed to the center ( deactivated the OK button) but cannot find now how to do it in the manual. Another way would be to sign another more accessible button ( Fn-button for instance) to center the AF-point and use the 4-way selector (if necessary for ex. shooting landscape) to change the position of the AF-point. Pls advise, this is really annoying.

It is hidden in f5 Control Lock, but if you press something it gives you an annoying popup, but it does automatically clear in a few seconds.

I think Nikon should consider long press options on some buttons. If you held the OK button it could lock the AF point with a confirmation. Maybe even a color change, bold, or double box lines.

I'd like the menu button to switch menus with hold or double press as well. Sure, this might be to complicated for some users, but they could just not use the feature. They need a simple setup and an advanced setup. Further enhanced with setting up your firmware in a desktop or at least a phone app.

On my Z8 I have the the joystick set up for "RESET" in the custom controls menu to do that, I guess you can choose any other button you would like to use this way.

Thanks for your kind reply. I found it now, funnilly its f4 in the Z9 menu and F5 in the Z6iii menu.

I shoot competitive 4 gun Skeet and it's a sport that runs from February to Late October. Which means that you can be shooting in wind chills as low as 20 F. Thing is the 410 shells are small enough that wearing heavy gloves means removing the glove at every shooting station to load shells.

What has worked well for me is leather Golf Gloves. BTW Calaway offers gloves for left and right hand so I call a set of these my Calaway Shooting Gloves. They actually work quite well if you keep hand warmers in your pockets. You may find that this approach will work for you.
