Faces behind the cameras

Very GQish Sol
I don't know about all that, but my wife likes it. That's all that counts :-)

And 70-200, being the case, my wife did have a little trouble with the "steady hands" thing. That lens sure is going to be sweet on our AS M7D. :-))

Sometimes a photograph captures reality.
Sometimes a photograph captures the imagination.
Ultimately, a photograph simply captures a moment in time.
And then, . . . it lives forever.

Sorry, didn't realize your were doing undercover work. LOL
Now I know.
Oh yea, I got my Sigma today!

After looking through my pictures searching for some good ones I realized that I had quite many showing nothing but me. I guess w/o anyone else to shoot you have to make do with what you've got, your self :)

I must say that making my own remote release cable allowed me to expand what I was able to make of my model :) As in the second picture.

Hey Barry, how are you doing? Good idea. Overdue, for many of us here.

Anyways, this is one my wife took, a year or so ago while we were
vacationing in St. John, Virgin Islands. To anyone who's never
been, it's absolute paradise! No I'm not that tan, just amazing
sunset colors. Just goes to prove, Lighting is Everything! :-))

Jose, Dez, Dave, TL, where are you guys at?!?

You people sure are gluttons for punishment :-D

Ok, you asked for it. Last chance to hide the women and children!

I shoot people all the time–but I use cameras, not guns!

Hi David,

Very suave ... and modest. Looks like you're ready to do business and it looks like you mean business. I'm not too sure your pic will scare off too many women and children. I take it this is what you wear when you are not out taking pics just for fun.

Great thread! I've been reading MTF for about 9 months. Learning losts, asking a few questions here and there. My photo is not much but here it is. I love my 7HI. But I look forward to Minolta's DSLR.

I've been visiting MTF for about two months now. I've really
enjoyed it ....seeing peoples work, learning a thing or two and
hopefully making a few friends. It's a great community and I think
seeing some of the faces behind the cameras and comments would make
it even better. I haven't been one of the prolific contributors
here so I'm not assuming anyone necessarily wants to see my face,
but in order to get things started I feel I must "expose" myself.
Hope to see a lot of you.

thanks, Barry

Hi Sol,

Are you sure that's you and not just a model you hired as a stand-in to get noticed in this thread? LOL Very dashing, true suntan or not.

The pics of me would have turned out more like yours if I was holidaying in the Virgin Islands, somewhat younger, with somewhat more hair ... oh yeah, and different parents. ;o)

After seeing some more posts, I might have to make another post further down the thread to show that my family is more than just me and my dog Molly. I'll have to sneak my wife in while she's not looking as she is a bit shy about photos, as many women are.
