Looking to chip a Nikkor 50mm f/2 Ai with a Dandelion Chip. The only place I see to purchase one is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=260686508825&si=2Gy0k5QIm88dNXYB8BxpxMuY9WQ%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

After reading another forum, was wondering if anyone knows any other sellers?
In Canada would be awesome!!
Thanks for any help.

Also, if anyone has chipped this lens, feedback would be really appreciated!!

I've been pleased with tagotech.

The mount of 50/2 requires modification to fit the chip: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/nikon/nikkoresources/50mmnikkor/index5.htm

Because 50/2 is AI lens the exposure may not be accurate when stopped down.
Thanks for the reply. this place is also based in Singapore and a little more expensive. What do you mean "b/c its a AI lens the exposure may not be accurate stopped down"?

AI-s lenses have linear diaphragm so the camera body knows how much to move the pin for desired aperture value. I don't know how big errors are typical with AI lenses...I suppose it's possible some of them even have linear diaphragm.

That kinda makes me wana change my mind..... Maybe I should just leave it as is...

I have pretty much figured out how to manually set this lens... even indoors & with a SB-600.... decisions decisions....

Thanks for the help anyways... :)

That may be wise...one of the main reasons why I chipped my lenses was because it was a pain to adjust the power of SB-400 through the menus of D40...with SB-600 it should be easier. I also like the focus trap feature when shooting moving subjects.

Yeah, with the SB-600, adjusting the power on the flash is easy, and I can use ISO 100 and any apeture I want (indoors)...
