Hello Ivan,

Great set! Beautiful flowers and I'm sure the articulating screen sure helped with your wonderful mushroom shot.

Randy

For some reason I'm getting a 'Photo Not Available' when I click on the full size link, so re-inserting it here to see if I can figure out what happened... I had LR update a bunch of photos that were in my Export Queue - so maybe this one got updated too? Not sure.

Wow, what a fungus!

Randy
Hey, Randy..!

It was really quite different to find that fungus growing in such an open, brightly-lit area of the woods.

the articulating screen sure helped
Yes, it did! The little A601 was a gem, I liked it very much until it developed a sticky shutter beyond economic repair. Then after some agony I bought a slightly used second hand G11 which I have been happily using ever since. The articulating screen was a selection criterium after the good experience with the A610.

There's a Fungus among us !

Let me start by saying I was fairly confident this would end up being a challenge depicting lots of flora, but I thought some family pets (at the very least) would appear as well....? It's still early, though, and I would like to compliment all of you who have submitted prospects...they're smashing!!

I love flowers. From the Aster to Zinnias, I love 'em all. I was given a farewell gift of several Four O'clock seeds by our lovely neighbor when my wife and I left the military about 12 years ago. It's an important yearly ritual to plant some of them and to restore the seed batch vitality, although they are supposed to have close to 20% germination even in the seventh year. I have tried to grow two Plumeria plants, but have had little luck. The beauty of every flower, when you get close, is often breathtaking. Yeah, that descriptor is over-used, but... Wait until you smell your first Four O'clock flower just-opened. It is impossible to describe.

Anyway, this is a new aster we planted this year from a potted plant from a local nursery. I simply love this fall bloomer. Maybe you will too.
