Brush problem

Hi Toermalijn...

Perhaps because I am not on 4K....

I have a monitor which will go higher than 1080P but have left it at that setting and my ui is really good and also very clear...

Not sure if that might be it?

Ah, ok, if you leave it at 1080p then the ui won't shrink. On 4k, the ui will be very tiny...If override high dpi settings is not selected.

Hi Toermalijn...

I think I will leave at 1080p as the problems for me with brushes are a nightmare....

It looks ok as is but I would have to remember this issue if I were to upgrade to 4K in the future...

Thanks for your help as always

Best wishes Ray

I went into compatibility....
I saw high DPI scaling over-ride
It was ticked...
Good that you got it fixed Ray and I know how relieved you are. I'm not finding Compatibility in preferences, but then I am on PS CC.
I unticked that and it is now back to the correct size brush and application on the image....
Relieved ....
Massive thanks to everyone who, as always has been kind enough to help, come forward with ideas and help...
It is so much appreciated.

Very best wishes
Ray

Can't tell you how relived I am Ernie......it was so hard to work with, always allowing for the extra size the brush would paint...

Anyway all good now...

Best wishes and thank you

Ray

It is not inside PS. It is under Properties seen when Right clicking the PS screen icon.

You can set the compatibility settings when you right click the Photoshop.exe file, there you can set the ignore high dpi settings. You need to set it for Photoshop cs6 and 4k monitors, otherwise the ui is very tiney and almost unreadable...The brush is a bug, the other tools don't suffer from the setting. But it won't be fixed ever, since cs6 is obsolete for Adobe.

But I also have Affinity Photo, wich was designed from the groud up to work with high dpi, no issues there.

When I have PS CC open, there is a very small, blue PS icon in the upper left hand corner. Right clicking that does not do anything however.
