These small colorful insects are very interesting to me. I am willing to spend a lot of time to get a photo that I can use. It is often not as good as I would like.

This one was more about the flower. I did notice the two insects.

I am well pleased with this shot of the tiny bee gathering pollen. The bee is about three mm long.

It has finished with the flower and is cleaning itself and moving pollen to the hair on it's belly.

I think it may be a braconid wasp but could be a different subfamily.

It is very small and hyper active.

The plant is green amaranth.

It's abdomen is translucent so the some of It's organs can be seen.

This also shows the pair of spurs at the ankle.

It has pretty eyes and large ocelli.

I had to keep the camera up to my face all the time and shot often in hope of catching the wasp at the right moment. Lifting the camera to my face will scare the wasp away most of the time.

I do crop most of the time.

Boy that is a big antenna.

Your garden is a treasure trove for very small plants and insects

I can almost imagine you pottering around the garden with the camera strapped to your head like oversized glasses, but it works 😀

I'm wondering if the wasp could be a sawfly - but I've no idea of the range of species where you are so just suggesting the possibility.

Gorgeous little metallic bee - I'm a sucker for shiny things.
