Auto-Focus problem part 2

I asked Pentax Canada before I bought my camera if I was to buy it in the USA if they would cover it under warranty. They said they had a worldwide warranty and no matter where I bought it, if I still had the bill the would fix it.

I totally agree it make sense... but the thing is they patched it
without really fixing the source of the problem the first time.
What bothers me is 400 pictures the first time, 500 the second
time, 600 the third time??? I don't like those kind of odds
Yes, that is too much of a problem.

I live in Finland and bought my Ds from US.
Pentax-Finland said that they don't take it on warranty.
I had to pay it all from my own pocket, and it was on repair for
almost two months, because of the summer vacations. :/
Many lost pics.
I suggest you take your cam to Pentax Finland for checking and simply pay for the repair costs if they can fix it. That's a must IMO in order to prevent future photo opportunity wasting!

I'm really not happy at this exact moment, the store screwed up and sent the camera to the service centre, which doesn't have any parts or the know how to fix DSLR. So my camera is sitting on a shelf in their office until they maybe ship it to Toronto (Pentax Canada) within the next month. So I guess I won't have my camera for a while now DOH!!!
