A vs E Size Compare

When I look at photos like these it's doesn't seem that the size difference is enough to matter much.
I could tell you that this matter is personal sensitive too.

How many times wandering the borders of the seine river in Paris, the artists there were telling me with my A58 "no photo" and meanwhile others with A7 series or smartphone not a word... Ridiculous yes but personal sensitiveness
That is curious, especially when you consider the A58 is smaller than an A7 with lens attached.

It's the DSLR effect actually. People knowing the shape and imagine that they are all used for professional stuff.

OTOH olympus Pen or A7 series seem more compact, more bridge caméra, more P&S son less pro, so more "acceptable" ... Ridiculous yes, but real.

Could we be mad at someone not to know nothing about photography...? Of course no. Still miss shots for stupidities . And when I was doing this most of the time I used my Mino 35-70/4 not a big lens hehe

Wot? You mean you don't do that every vacation you take....c'mon!?
Right... Well, I'm in a conundrum at the moment. I'll be touring the Southern US for a few weeks soon. If I call it a vacation, I can't write it off. Not even a working vacation. Has to be at least location scouting, or art adventure, or self assignment. Even if I plan to visit family along the way.

The conundrum is what gear to take. Traveling in a vintage two seat sports car with limited space. Want to get some scenics of course, but also get pickup work from model agencies along the way.

Seriously considering taking Samsung NX-1 and two S lenses. Very compact, and an excuse to leave the strobes at home. My reflector can double as a car dash protector.

But even then, Syber's RX could probably handle it, even the model shoots. Got me thinking. One thing for sure, I won't be taking the EMount and GMonsters.
"Southern US" is very broad. What part of the south? Southeast? Southwest? Texas? What subjects (landscape? National parks? Wildlife)?

I just got done doing Zion NP and Bryce with only 24-70ZA and 70-400G on a99ii. You could throw a wide prime on top of that and you'd be covered for possibly any situation in a reasonably sized kit. I didn't even have my giant camera bag, but rather my compact Tamrac sling bag. I also had a compact travel tripod to save space and weight.

If I was unable to bring that kit, there's only one camera I would choose - an RX10mk4. I don't own one, but I know the right "single cam" solution when I see it.

For me, there's two kinds of vacations - ones where I'm taking photos incidentally and others where the express purpose is to take pictures. The former I'm fine with just bringing my RX100 along, because it has enough punch to do all the jobs. The latter is no compromise, the a99ii has to come.
