Must it be own home?

Hi Laurence,

I would be on holiday in Mozambique during that period - would shots from there be ok? (within 100m of holiday home)

Depends on where you live

The US system for the US and the European system for, well ehhhh, Europe. All others are lost.

Re: Depends on where you live

Great, so now Europeans are excluded as Galileo is a song of a future:

From the link http://europa.eu.int/comm/dgs/energy_transport/galileo/index_en.htm

"...More and more often, it will become necessary to ascertain one's precise position in space and time in a reliable manner. In a few years time this will be possible with the GALILEO satellite radio navigation system, an initiative launched by the European Union and the European Space Agency..."

and, being EU initiative, a far future.

You forget where we live

Wojciech,

Ever heard of a place called Old Europe? Ever heard of maps? Do you use a car with a navigation system? Do you live in a part of the world (Kansas) where the road system is so straight and gridded that it looks like something von Däniken found on a plateau?

We are backwards.

And lost.

That is why we have meters.

Get therapy in Arizona if this bothers you. The good doctor's secretary Dave will be happy to set up an appointment.

in 10 days.

Laurence Matson wrote:

We are proposing that seasonal change remains the topic, but with a
twist. We would like you to show something of where you live at the
same time. Therefore, this shoot should be done near or around your
home, or whatever serves as home during this period. Specifically,
we would like you to limit yourself to a radius of about 100 yards
or meters of your home.

Obviously, this is not spring springing or fall falling. This is
hunkering down for winter in the south and the heat of summer in
the north. Change is therefore perhaps less important. However,
season and place are.

We look forward to your images. We will provide more details as the
date approaches and then again toward the end of the week on
posting. Once again, we will make a gallery. Since we have a little
more room there now, you may submit two or three images; however,
we will stick to half size this time as well.

Once again, we would like to urge members of the Foveon and Sigma
companies to join us. Their contributions enriched the last Shoot.
