Re: Klaudio's Fax Site

I'm absolutely flabbergasted by the thouroughness and top-notch quality of your FAX site guys!!!! Just superb work.

Congrats to Claudio, John, and Niamh... I just can't say enough about how wonderful of a job you guys did!

I'm sure that many will find this to be an invaluable tool, certainly the best Ax resource on the planet. Hmmm, I hope that the MTF won't now become obsolete, ha,ha! We'll now have to focus more on the task at hand - capturing images

It will take some time, but I'm plannng on reading every single word.

You guys!!

Gee! we almost made it...

Niamh, John and myself started this some time ago.... and we are getting ready to publish it officially (tomorrow or Sunday) on the MTF Challenge page and we were just testing it before release... Don't bookmark yet!

Let us give the last few finishing touches and then we'll be be "officially"

The ideas is to collect more contributions from other people as well

But we'll detail the whole thing when we announce it..

I just wanted to say that when you mentioned it in a thread a couple of weeks ago, I did not reply only because we were trying to keep it under wrap until ready and I did not want to bring attention to it. Since you did not have an emal in your profile I could not let you know directly... We actually moved it after to be able to complete the first pass without a public presence

Brilliant!!

Wonderful job, Klaudio. I can't wait to start digging in and learning more about my great new camera. I look forward to the FAQ growing and becoming a tremendous resource for users of all levels, but especially us rookies.

I hope that I can maybe even contribute something to it someday.

Viva A2!

It's damn good, some of the Olympus people have similar sites/pages and they are really useful resources. I'm pleased you've gone ahead and done this

Kudos Klaudio, John Down Under & Niamh for your wonderful collaboration on the Ax!! I finally received my A1 March 23rd and I've been reading the manual over and over again. Minolta needs a lesson in muanual 'layout' it is horrible. But anyway, you guys have been a blessing and your Ax "E Book" proves it. I learned a great deal and have, of course, bookmarked it to my favorites and will most likely print it out for safe keeping. Hopefully I will gain enough confidence to post a picture or two in the future!! Keep up the good work guys and THANKS!!

Re: Klaudio's Fax Site

I would like to set up a free fax in my office. Which one would be better and effective?

You want to set up a website of Minolta cameras ?

Would you be doing the same as the website in the O.P ?

A Minolta FAX page with links to the FAQ on just the DiMage cameras or Minolta SLR & DSLR cameras ?

Or are you misunderstanding the "FAX" in the title ( meaning FACT's) for a FAX machine of the last century ?

This is a photography website after all .

There is a forum here for computers , if you mean to rig something up like that . Might be worth asking .

.

People generally just use email these days , which can be accessed on any computer or smart phone with access to the internet .

.

Very few people these days have a FAX machine , and a lot if people haven't even seen one , let alone used one !

I see there are not many people are using fax service right now. But only a few old firms are still using this fax service. Though I set up a new business recently and now I would like to set up free fax as well. Suggest me if you know about a reliable free fax service.

What do you mean by a reliable free fax service? It's not like an internet service provider.

You get a fax machine or all in one scanner/printer/copier/fax machine, plug it into your phone line and that's it. You're ready to send/receive faxes for free (apart from paper, ink and the cost of a phone call).

Yes, it's obviously an internet fax service. Let me show you something I found in the meanwhile visit their website here. The service is called google fax. As a newbie, I would like to try this one. If you have some other better suggestion please let me know.
