Autofocus problem

Goodday

I read into the forum, about Autofocus lock.

Are there more people with this problem?
My autofocus isn't working at all! I can only shoot in manual focus.

Which lens? Can you try a different lens? Is AF turned on (on the lens)?

No i'm just in green mode (the full automatic)

It's trying to set focus, but the red spots aren't coming

Someone else an idea?

CCOuld it be the lens? Because when i take off the lens, the camera takes a picture (very blurry) in the AF mode...

I think what you read on the forum was about maintaining a focus lock, i never had a problem achieving a focus lock, but when recomposing my camera would easily switch to AI servo(continuous autofocus)

If you camera does not focus when you half press the shutter button then you have a problem with camera or lens.

I think you're right.
I think it's broken. I only shoot 300 pics, after buying him 2 weeks ago...
that's quick.. for a relative expensive camera

badly... after alle the fun with this camera!

it is much more likely that the kit lens is defective than the camera body, do you have another lens to try it with? If not take the body to a camera shot to try a canon lens on it. The kit lens has a warranty also i believe.

I experience some intermittent problem wtih the autofocus. In some unexplanable situations it simply doesn't work. I must use the manual focus which is more difficult to use (to get godd results). I contacted my salesman and he doesn't know what could cause this problem.

Has anyone the same problem?

Hey..I'm a new photographer and I'm learing photography as a beginner.  I have Canon 200d camera with 50 mm lense. But recently I'm getting completely blurred photo in both AF and MF mode. I cleaned my camera properly using camera cleaning kit including lense, sensor and viewfinder. I increased-decreased a button beside the viewfinder which is named like |++. But it's still blurred in photo and also in viewfinder..

What should I do??

The button beside the viewfinder is for dioptric correction and you can adjust it to suit your eyesight. If it's wrongly adjusted the image in the viewfinder will look blurry but it won't directly affect AF but could introduce focusing errors when focusing manually and also if the AF itself is erroneous you might not notice it when it happens. To adjust to correct for your eyesight turn the wheel/ button until you can see that the AF points in the viewfinder are sharp . BTW this is a 17 year old thread so it  might be better to start a new one .
