Sekonic Lightmeter Question

Hi, I have an old Sekonic Auto-Leader 3 light meter. (model 162). I dont really know how it works, although turning the dials will change the metered light, read-out. I have been to Sekonic's web site, but have not found any info on old meters.

Does any one here, know how this works? There are three settings to meter light, but I dont know for which situations they are for. Is it worth anything on the resale market, ie Ebay? and how do I know if it is metering correctly?

Thanks

Dave

Some guesses

It looks like a match needle arrangement. I'm guessing that when you move the dials one of the needles moves and the other moves from changing light conditions.

For a simple calibration use the sunny f16 rule and a gray card. Put an 18% gray card in direct sunlight and meter that. Set the camera to ISO 125 and match up 1/125 and f16 on the EV dial. The needles should match up to tell you that is a correct exposure.
