Test your camera against F700

Is there anyone near Palo Alto, CA, who would like to go for a quick comparison shoot with my F700? :o). If anyone has a Canon G2-G5, Sony V1, F601 or S602, Fuji S2 pro, or Canon 10D, we can all get together and shoot at a park. I'm very curious.

Hi George,

Maybe you'll be interested in viewing some pictures taken with a G2 and a F717 in your own backyard:

I think we need direct comparisons. Well, a friend has bought a Sony V1 from Fry's. We're going to make some comparisons tomorrow. I have confidence in my F700. =).

George,

I would like to ask you to make the shots with the F700 both in soft and normal modes (6mp). The agressive in camera sharpening of the s602 reduces also its dynamic range very much. I guess the same holds for the F700. For the best results I use soft sharpening, and post proces them with SharpControl a free but extremely powerful program ( http://wwwapplied-maths.co/paul/SharpControl.zip at settings 0.94;482%;100%;100%;1x).
Best,
Gyorgy
