World's Fastest Camera vs Bullets! - Ballistic High-Speed

So what would you like to see filmed at that frame rate?

One for me would be a golf ball being hit, though a balloon being burst might be fun.

very cool video 👌

We have an older high speed camera at work that, in theory, can do 1 million fps. It's not high resolution that that speed, but the killer is that the "shutter speed" is 1/1000000 second. Obviously, you're always stuck with 1/fps for shutter speed. That means, unless you live on the surface of the sun, there's never enough light! I've found most common things you might want to photograph can be done between 1000 and 10000 fps. Still, a lot of fun to play with.

It's all pretty much been done, to one extent or other, and more than you could imagine by the Slow Mo Guys:

While their typical frame rate is under 2M fps (it turns out you can actually go too slow, and the results are just very boring) they do have a few shot at 5M fps.

Here's one at 1.7M fps:

It's less about the highest frame rate, more about matching the frame rate to the event so the result is interesting to watch.

Paint balls colliding at 82Kfps:

Just a couple of guys having too much fun with very expensive high speed cameras.
